Valentine's treat, charming small but ingeniously appointed room, stunningly great food in the restaurant for dinner and a triumphant breakfast too. Bar is nice and buzzy with a good drinks selection. Some amazing whiskey too.

The best fish and chips in the area! We dine here when we are hungry for good fish and chips and we are never disappointed. Combine with a walk around Melbury and you can't go wrong. Very relaxing bar atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. Also, dog friendly!!!

From the warm welcome on arrival, to the unpretentious decor, this inn did not disappoint. The staff were excellent, the food was superb and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Lots of car parking too and good walks close by. This is highly recommended by us for future travellers.

Visited here for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and all staff were exceptional, would return in a heartbeat, just fabulous. Accommodation is also available and also looks very cosy, maybe an option for next time.

Absolutely Superb!|We booked a table for four in the Bar, we were seated just by the Fire.|Service was great and the food and drink was superb.|Would really recommend the Champagne and Ribeye steak.|My Wife had the Lamb and Children had the Chicken Burgers, We will certainly be returning.

Very welcoming and delicious dinner, went out of their way to find my husbands favourite whisky too. Food and service beyond our expectations and really impressed. Our dog enjoyed his visit too as he was welcomed.
